Another right-wing, though not religious, party will apparently be running in the coming elections. Tzomet, founded by former IDF Chief of Staff Rafael (Raful) Eitan, received 8 seats in the elections for the 13th Knesset in 1992, and ran jointly with the Likud in 1996. Running on its own three years later, it did not garner a single Knesset seat. The party secretariat is expected to make a final decision tomorrow to run in the upcoming election. Tzomet leader Moshe Green is positioned in slot number one, followed by Raful.

The Green Party, which focuses on environmental issues, will also run in the election, it announced yesterday. Heading its list will be its two representatives on the Tel Aviv City Council, Hadas Shechnai and Pe'er Vizner.
