In Beit Shean this morning, thousands of people participated in the funeral services, which began with eulogies at city hall, for four of the six people killed in yesterday’s terrorist shooting/grenade attack in the northern city. The four Beit Shean residents buried today are: Yaakov Larry, 35; David Peretz, 48; Mordechai (Motti) Avraham, 44; and Chaim Amar, 56. The fifth victim, Shaul Zilberstein, 36, from Upper Nazareth, was to be buried this afternoon in Afula. Zilberstein was the security guard posted at the Likud polling station targeted by the terrorist yesterday. The funeral for the sixth victim of yesterday’s attack will be held today, although as of this writing, the victim’s identity has not been made public.

At 9:00am today an IDF military transport plane brought home the bodies of the three Israelis killed in the terrorist bombing of a hotel in Mombasa, Kenya yesterday. Murdered in the attack were two brothers, Noy, 14, and D'vir, 13, Anter, from Ariel, and Albert (Avraham) DeHavila, 60, from Ra'anana. Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
Also on the flight were family members of the victims and nine lightly wounded individuals, including a Kenyan woman who requested treatment in Israel. The IDF plans to return everyone home, including those persons uninjured in the attack. There are still nine bombing victims hospitalized in Kenya, including one woman who remains in serious condition and is connected to a respirator, two other victims listed in moderate condition and six, light.
In order to assist in the treatment of the wounded, and facilitate their speedy return home, Israel has organized a medical aid expedition to Kenya, to be headed by the Home Front Command Chief of Staff, Brigadier-General Eitan Dganot. The expedition includes medical teams from the Air Force and the Medical Corps, search and rescue teams from the Home Front Command, medical assistants from the Red Magen David (MDA), representatives from the Israeli police forensics department and representatives of the Foreign Ministry.
