The small left-wing Religious-Zionist party Meimad has become even smaller. Many of its leading figures quit the party this morning after its 120-member board decided to ratify the agreement to run together with Labor in the coming elections. The board thus accepted party leader MK Rabbi Michael Melchior's view, against that of junior MK Rabbi Yehuda Gilad. Founder Rabbi Yehuda Amital, Dr. Danny Tropper, and former MKs Alex Lubotsky and Yehuda Ben-Meir have either quit or are considering doing so.
