IDF troops backed by tanks and helicopter gunships entered the PLO-controlled of Dir al-Balah this morning and leveled the home of a wanted Hamas member. The soldiers were greeted by a barrage of bullets from Arab gunmen. Arab sources say that one of their shooters was wounded in the exchange.

The house demolished belonged to terrorist Muhammad Abu Houli. Houli was responsible for dispatching the gunman who murdered IDF tracker Sgt.-Maj. Shigdaf Garmay last Friday. Houli was also behind numerous mortar-shell attacks against Gush-Katif communities.
