The Jewish Museum Must Ban Its Anti-Semitic Speaker

Butler has referred to "Hezbollah and Hamas as progressive organizations" and supported their tactics.
Shameful of The Jewish Museum of New York to allow a forum of any sort to Judith Butler, a radical Anti-Israel extremist. Yet, indeed she will be provided a forum on March 6th at the venue.

An institution which claims to be “dedicated to the enjoyment, understanding, and preservation of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Jewish people through its unparalleled collections, distinguished exhibitions, and related education programs” must not provide a vicious enemy of the State of Israel a forum.

It seems that the Israeli government condemnation of Butler when it came to Berlin’s Jewish Museum does not matter to the New York Jewish Museum. As the Israeli Embassy said a few months ago, it was “astonished that exactly this museum would provide a stage to a person who called for an academic and cultural boycott against Israel… In the name of freedom of opinion the Jewish Museum offered a forum to a person who supports a boycott against Israel and therefore calls for Israelis to be boycotted because they are Israelis.”

At the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Butler spoke, calling to “boycott Israel and consider the abolition of political Zionism as the basis for the creation of Israel.”

She openly supports the Boycott, Sanctions and Divestment (BDS) movement against Israel, and spoke of the need to dismantle the State of Israel.

Butler has referred to "Hezbollah and Hamas as progressive organizations" and supported their tactics.

Canada's President Harper said, while in Israel " "Anti-Semitism still exists in its traditional form based on ignorance in some of the dark corners of the world. In the Western world it takes on a more sophisticated form. With some intellectualized arguments on some campuses. This is the new face of anti-Semitism.”

"Progressive anti-Zioinism is a form of anti-Semitism" posited well known attorney, Dr. Mathew Hausman.

How can The Jewish Museum of New York even consider providing a forum to this extreme radical? The Jewish Museum must immediately disassociate themselves from any affiliation whatsoever with Judith Butler.  Do not allow her a forum.

Ronn Torossian has visited The Jewish Museum many times – he won’t again if they don’t pull this invitation.
