Over 2,000 visitors arrived in Beit El this past Shabbat for its 25th Anniversary Sabbath. Groups from Bat Yam, Nahariya, Be'er Sheva, Raanana, and elsewhere arrived in the town - some members for their first time in Beit El or even in Yesha. Almost every family in the town hosted at least one family, while hundreds of other guests were housed in the town's many educational institutions. Beit El Mayor Yisrael Rosenberg - whose guests included the parents of the young woman who will become his daughter-in-law this week - stated that the weekend was even more successful than previous Sabbaths of this nature. The goals were three-fold: To enhance the process of "settlement in the hearts" of Israeli society; to "show off" Beit El and its accomplishments; and to enable people to look into the possiblity of moving to Beit El. In previous years, among the new families who moved to Beit El were those who participated in the anniversary Shabbat.
