Arutz-7\'s Ariel Kahane spoke today with Tekoa\'s Rabbi Menachem Fruman, who mentioned that the Psalm for Wednesday [Psalm 94], recited today at the end of morning prayers, specifies, \"O G-d, to Whom vengeance belongs, shine forth!... Give the proud their due...\" Kahane said, \"You said that you pray that G-d should take vengeance against these evil people; are you referring to the ones with whom you met personally?\" [Rabbi Fruman had been criticized for his meetings with Yasser Arafat and other PLO leaders in the past.] He answered slowly, \"Yes, these are they.\"

Kahane: \"What thoughts does this inspire?\"

Rabbi Fruman: \"You ask what I think. I am not thinking now; I am just hurting... Look, these people did not suddenly turn evil in one day; those with whom I met have a rich history of murder not only in the recent past, but also in the past years, and throughout the history of Zionism. The question is how the People of Israel builds their life in a world that has evil people; this is one of the questions and challenges that G-d places before us. There are different ways, and there are different opinions. Today, I am silent, as was Aaron the High Priest [Lev. 10. 3]… We must be \'strong and courageous,\' as G-d told Joshua when Israel was about to conquer the Land.\"
