The Jerusalem District Court rejected a request by the State Prosecution today to prevent Yehuda Etzion and others from coming near the Temple Mount. Although no Israeli Jews have been allowed to visit the holy site for over two years, the government felt that Etzion and other Temple Mount activists should not come within 50 meters of the gates during this Moslem month of Ramadan. The Prosecution failed to convince the Court, however, that such proximity would endanger the public order.
