Seventy prominent US professors of medicine, 12 from Harvard University Medical School alone, will protest the divestment campaign and other anti-Israel activities on campuses across the United States next week, by holding an international medical conference in Jerusalem. Harvard’s Dr. Ben Sachs, the Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston says that the group chose Jerusalem as the venue for the event in order to show solidarity with Israel and at the same time to say no to the "European boycotts and to the university divestment campaigns."

During the two-day conference the American physicians will meet with their Israeli colleagues to pool information on breakthrough treatments for victims of conventional and non-conventional warfare. The gathering is being sponsored jointly by the Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Boston and the Hadassah organization.
