This is a time of uncertainty in the Middle East . Even the most tested political analysts are hard pressed to say what the coming days, weeks and months will bring.
There are those who suggest that the battle front is almost exclusively diplomatic in nature and that the battle will take place on the banks of the East River in NY and not on the west bank of the Jordan or on its eastern, Hashemite occupied side.
There are those who predict mayhem.
We are all aware that there are things that one simply does not say...or write about, at least within the parameters of the suicidal political correctness that has taken over the mass media in the West and in Israel.
The mass media’s self-imposed fixation on “Palestinian suffering” omits any mention of huge haciendas being illegally built by Arabs throughout Judea and Samaria.
The media’s musings on the so called “Arab spring” (coldest on record if you ask me) leads to unprecedented distortions in fair objective reporting.
Nowhere is mentioned the consistent usage of Nazi symbols at demonstrations which far from calling for western style democracy call for Muslim world rule-Islam über alles.
The talking heads strive to convince us that we are approaching a new “Golden Age” in a “new Middle East”. They are unwilling to recognize that most of our neighbors are actually stuck in the Dark Ages. When wishful thinking is put aside, the new vista looks more like the hell painted by Hieronymus Bosch than a capitalist heaven driven by first amendment rights. There is no gold in sight.
Precisely because we are approaching a time of uncertainty, there are words that must be written and truths that must be said…there are facts you really should know.
Have you read that Jewish schools throughout Judea and Samaria require psychiatric counseling services in order to address the stress the children already suffer?
After all, they are all well aware that Arabs may attempt to overcome their communities with masses of inflamed men who will predictably scream “Itbach al Yahud”, an Arabic phrase known to every Jewish child in Israel. “Slaughter the Jews” they will scream… “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is the Greatest”, often mistranslated as “Gd is Great”). They know that the IDF is there to protect them, but the hatred is frightening in itself.
Indicators of Traumatic Stress Disorder such as stomachaches, headaches, inability to concentrate, repeated nightmares and dreams of death, behavioral re-enactment (expressed as repetitive play),emotional numbness, and diminished interest in significant activities…are being tracked throughout the educational system in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. Children in the rest of Israel are also subject to fears that should not be part of childhood.
The Israel Ministry of Education is, of course, aware of the situation, but does not publicize it.
Have you read that First Responders in Jewish communities throughout Judea and Samaria have been urged to turn their emergency beepers to “silent/vibrate” in order to minimalize the stress their kids and the kids in their communities already feel?
It would be disingenuous to feign shock…the young children of S’derot and the areas surrounding the Iranian puppet state that has been created in Gaza have been suffering from Traumatic Stress disorder for years.
Can you imagine your child knowing that there are murderers who would wilfully come to stab them in the dead of night? Can you imagine how your child would react?
Yet these are our children! Every single one of them. They are yours and mine. Ours.
And yes…there are children suffering in Gaza as well. The United Nations does not cease to worry about them. However we must be clear about the source of their suffering. They are brought up by political and religious fanatics whose thirst for blood is unquenchable. Fanatics that educate them to self-explode, to murder and create terror for heaven’s sake. They are brainwashed to believe that their neighbors are pigs and monkeys who require beheading.
They are subjected to constant barrages of Mullah inspired state propaganda calling for unrelenting holy war against the Jews and Crusaders (our mostly unaware Christian friends).
Yes…if I could push the magic button I would see them free… to dream of kites and puppy dogs and sticky candies in a rainbow of colors…but alas, they are born to parents who prefer to use young children as tools in the service of terror, turning them into human shields for their own cowardice while promising them the ultimate and most final embrace of death as a reward for their trust.
And to those people, the Nations of the World wish to give yet another state!
In these uncertain times one thing is certain-we must look at the world as it is, not as how we wish it to be. We no longer have the luxury of denial. We must accept reality if we wish to survive…as we continue to embrace life, and continue to embrace our children!
