Plans to perpetrate a terrorist attack in Israel were abruptly nipped in the bud when IDF forces arrested the would-be murderer, Ismail Abu Muhammad Istetiya, this morning in Shechem.
Fifteen Arabs wanted for terror activity were arrested throughout Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) last night. Seven of them were taken near Hevron, the site of Friday night's massive shooting attack that left 12 Israelis dead. One of those arrested was a senior member of Yasser Arafat's Tanzim terror organization. Another was shot and killed as he attempted to flee; his brother, leading Al-Aksa Brigade terrorist Riad Abdel Rani, escaped.
On the Gaza front, a Kassam rocket was launched at a Jewish community last night, and Arabs hurled grenades and fired at IDF positions along the Egyptian border, as well as near the Gush Katif community of Gadid. There was no damage or injuries in these incidents.
