Vittorio Arrigoni, an Italian member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), was kidnapped and murdered only a few days ago by Salafi terrorists in an internal dispute between terrorist groups in Gaza.  According to Hamas, the leader of a rival terrorist group was in jail because of Hamas and his minions sought to free him.

Hostage taking is an old sport among Muslim Arabs, even being the source for the words  ”…to the shores of Tripoli” in the Marine Corps hymn when Thomas Jefferson and later Teddy Roosevelt sent US Marines to rescue kidnapped Americans.  The fact that Palestinian terror groups have routinely tried to kidnap Israeli soldiers for years engendered an Israeli policy that IDF personnel carry their weapons with them at all times, even when off duty.

Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier was kidnapped over three years ago after Hamas members tunneled inside of Israel and kidnapped him from his tank after killing his two fellow crew members near an IDF base inside Israel. Since then, Hamas has refused to allow the Red Cross to visit Shalit and demands the release of 8,000 terrorists held in Israeli jails in return for him.

Embracing a terrorist mass murderer: Haniyah and Arrigoni

Vittorio Arrigoni is being hailed in the International Press and especially in Italy as a pacifist, a “peace activist”, even though a real description of him was as a human shield for terrorist groups. This Italian “peace activist” could only promote “peace” by doing support and human shield work for Hamas, whose charter openly calls not just for the destruction of Israel, but for the annihilation of all the world’s Jews. The Hamas charter is an openly fascist document, and even uses passages from the anti-Semitic trope, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion,in justifying the attacking of the Jews who seek world domination starting “from the Nile to the Euphrates.”

If you want your cognitive dissonance shattered, read up about Vittorio Arrigoni and his fellow ISM activists on the Web after his death. Arrigoni said he was working for Hamas because his grandfathers fought fascism as part of the Italian resistance against the Nazis during the Second World War.

If Vic, as he was known, knew anything about history he would know that Hamas is a clone of Nazi fascism. As part of the Muslim Brotherhood founded by Hassan al-Banna, an admirer of Hitler, who founded the Brotherhood as an Arab version of Nazism,  Arrigoni was promoting, not fighting, fascism or freedom. The 36 year-old man was an anarchist-communist and not the freedom fighter his ISM buddies like to say he was.

Anarchists  perceive the existing systems of the world as oppressive and hierarchical, and believe they must be destroyed from the bottom up. As such, anarchists are process driven; they have to support revolutionary movements such as Hamas against the status quo such as Israel. Terrorism is justifiable political exchange against democracy if it destroys the existing order.

Arrigoni was deported legally from Israel more than once for rioting and interfering against IDF anti-terrorism actions. He entered Gaza on the ISM flotilla boats and received a gold medal from the Hamas leader in Gaza, Ismail Haniyah, with whom he was photographed embracing the terrorist leader.

Arrigoni’s actions on behalf of the ISM were usually to accompany Palestinian fishing boats that would  violate the boundaries set by the IDF Navy to prevent weapons smuggling by sea from Iran. The Iranians bring weapons by sea and sink them in water tight containers off the coast of Gaza where the fishermen then retrieve them to bring back to use against the people of Israel.  Arrigoni interfered with IDF operations at sea as much as possible to aid this, even jumping into the Mediterranean on one occasion, forcing the IDF to fish him out. Not the typical daily occupation of most 36 year-old men.

Daniel Viflic was still technically a child, though at 16 he was a young man. He attended a Yeshiva in Israel and traveled on a yellow school bus. Yellow  is the internationally recognized color of school buses that transport children.

At the same time, Vittorio Arrigoni was kidnapped, a member of Hamas fired an RPG at the school bus Daniel was on as it traveled a road near the Gaza border. Daniel was on his way to help his grandmother get ready for Passover, and was the only student on board with the driver who was seriously wounded also in the attack.

News reports about the attack on Daniel’s school bus were sparse. Originally, reports stated a 13 year-old student on the bus had been “lightly wounded” along with the driver.  Daniel was in fact severely wounded and died in intensive care only a few days after Arrigoni’s body was found hanged.  The worldwide media, especially in Italy, showered the pages with the death of the ISM activist in Gaza but said nothing about Daniel Viflic. Daniel wasn’t an anarchist communist who was fighting fascism by assisting fascists, he was studying the Bible.

Information has surfaced that one of Arrigoni’s killers was a Hamas policeman. Arrignoni was, in fact, kidnapped because he was considered a European and an infidel in the strident orthodox views of his captors, who felt that even Hamas is too moderate for Islamic tastes.

Despite these facts, the ISM and much of the left-wing press began blaming Israel for his death, even accusing my organization, Stop the ISM, of being behind it because we showed he was a human shield for the worst terrorist leaders in Hamas in combat zones during Operation Cast Lead.

Arrigoni was ordered by the Italian Foreign Ministry to leave Gaza when the war started in 2009 after Israel had endured 8,000 rockets fired at her communities in the South. Arrigoni stayed to assist the Hamas terrorists any way he could, including putting himself in places to interfere with the IDF by being a human shield for the worst terrorist leaders.

Nobody can say for sure if the RPG used to kill Daniel Viflic was some of the weaponry that Arrigoni may have helped Palestinian fishermen to smuggle into Gaza from Iran, however, one can be certain Arrigoni would not have cared if it was. His right bicep tattoo read in Arabic “resistance”, the euphemism for Arab terrorism to destroy the Jewish state, a goal that Arrigoni supported.

Arrigoni’s mother was interviewed on Italian television where she announced she was going to join the next  ISM flotilla to Gaza to assist Hamas. This daughter of Italian partisans who fought fascism in Italy wants to preserve the goals of her equally confused son by further promoting Arab fascism in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Daniel Viflic’s mother has remained mostly silent, enduring the loss of her child, whose only crime was riding a school bus and living in a democratic  Jewish state that a fascist Arab terror group insists has no right to exist.

There were over 3,000 websites and blogs mourning the loss of the human shield for terrorists who helped smuggle weapons, even calling him a “pacifist,” yet only two or three who reported  the name of circumstances of Daniel Viflic’s death.

There can never be peace in the Middle East until the truth is told about groups like Hamas and the phony “peace” groups like the ISM and its volunteers who are just another way for the Arab world to make war on the Jewish state.
