(Updated Sunday 10AM) Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is meeting with his Security Cabinet this morning to chart a response to the Hevron bloodbath. Sharon met with Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz one-on-one prior to the meeting to discuss a plan of action. Last night, Sharon gave Mofaz a "green light" to retake positions in the Arab controlled parts of Hevron and wipe out the town's terrorist infrastructure.

The Yesha (Judea, Samaria, and Gaza) council issued a statement last night demanding that the Government nullify the 1997 Hevron Accords. Under that agreement Israel turned control of parts of the city over to the Palestinian Authority. The council is also calling on the government to undertake military operations to disarm the PA. In step with the Yesha Council, Foreign Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told Israel Radio this morning that the Hevron Accords, which he signed while serving as Prime Minister, should be cancelled. Netanyahu added that the 1993 Oslo agreement was effectively dead.

Minister of Public Security, Uzi Landau dubbed Friday's night incident, "the worst event in Hevron since the massacre of 1929." He also said that the only real response is to build a new neighborhood in Hevron thereby strengthening her Jewish residents. He added that the "Judea First" plan should be repealed.
