The latest spokesperson for the State Department's long-term agenda against Israel has clarified for all concerned the far-reaching, but familiar, goals of the "land-for-peace" process: to return Israel to the three scarcely-touching bits of land proposed in the Peel Commission partition proposal of 1937 and again, with a few more dunams thrown in on account of the six million murdered, in the United Nations partition plan of 1947.
The progressive expulsion of Jews from northern Samaria facilitates nipping the narrow neck of Israel near Netanya, separating the Galilee and Golan from the rest of the Land. The "contiguous Palestinian State" now demanded by the State Department, through the Bush administration, includes a corridor that will sever the Negev from the rest of the nation -- just as in the two early partition plans noted above. Somehow, it would be fitting to paraphrase the Latin: "Omnia Iudea era divisa in partes tres...."
No one should say that the fashioners of a new, Israel-cleansed world order have no taste for history. Indeed, they are tenacious pursuers of one of the oldest geopolitical games on record: "'Come, let us cut them off from nationhood, that Israel's name not be remembered anymore!'" (Psalms 83:5)
And when the UN piles on and participates, usually quite vigorously, in this game, another verse applies: "The nations take counsel all together, they forge a covenant against You [Hashem]." By striving to prevent, and then to roll back and destroy (though processes of ceaseless vilification, homicidal slander in the media, arming and inciting hostile neighbors, etc) Jewish sovereignty, the nations, led by the greatest powers in the world, have for a long time been engaged in a process of de facto de-legitimization, even banning, of Judaism: Religious bigotry, anyone? Under Western pressure, exerted through local stooges, Muslims control or ban Jewish worship at Judaism's holiest sites. "Ethnic cleansing" - remember that watchword of anathema? Despite its title, it is pervasively and explicitly rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures, which Winthrop quotes extensively, especially the Book of Deuteronomy. Yet now, the ruling, shadow elites of Western civilization destroy that civilization's own roots. And a branch that attacks its roots is a branch that will wither and die.
