It is accepted wisdom that in order to defeat one's enemy, one has to first know who they are. It seems that many within the Jewish people and especially those of us in Israel (not to mention our so-called elected leaders), have still not learnt this basic principle of survival. If we really want to see the truth about the enemy we face today within the ranks of the Arab/Muslim peoples, we need not look further than a quote from the very mother of the teenaged homicide bomber that struck in the Tel-Aviv market this past week.
As reported in the media, the suicide bomber's mother said Arab terrorist leaders "should have sent an adult who understands the meaning of his deeds," because "it's immoral to send someone so young."
Amazing! If you read this quote carefully, you will gain a clear insight into exactly who the Palestinian Arabs really are. The mother seems to show some anger at the terrorist leaders for using her son at such a young age. However, and more importantly, she says they "should have sent an adult who understands the meaning of his deeds." In others words, she is all for sending terrorist killers to maim and murder innocent civilians, as long as the person is at an age that they can fully understand the motives behind their evil deeds. Don't for a minute think that the words "meaning of his deeds" in any way implies that the person should be able to consider the horrific damage it will cause to innocents, or to themselves, for that matter. She makes this clear by insisting that they should still send an adult to commit the heinous crime.
She is in true character as a classic Arab Jew-hater when she has the audacity to say it is "immoral" to send someone so young. She is talking about immorality while advocating the murder of thousands of innocent civilians. Do you see the twisted logic of this psyche? Can you deal with the fact that this is the deep inner feelings of our enemy, which tell us who they really are?
People do not want to pin this behaviour on all Arabs/Muslims for fear of being racist. However, when the sum total of one people's behaviour and attitude towards another is essentially this type of twisted logic and hate, then it is not racism to define and know your enemy. When someone has a knife at your throat or is blowing up your people in markets and on buses, we all have an obligation to identify the attacker and understand their motives. If we look hard enough, we see that the attackers all come from a group of people whose majority support terrorist attacks against Israel. We have all seen the statistics to support this in poll after poll of Arab Palestinians, and now the mother of this latest killer has made this fact obvious.
Some fools, who call themselves leaders, in the Knesset still want to placate the world in light of this obvious motive of our enemy. They want to reward Arab murderers with land, and give them homes built and owned by our good people. This will only serve to whet the appetite of our enemies and will once again turn world opinion against us, contrary to what these politicians foolishly believe. Wake up Jews! Appeasement did not work with Hitler and it won't work with our Arab enemies. Their goals are clear; and if you think Gaza is any different from Tel Aviv in their minds, then you must be using the same logic that the above Arab mother is offering us.
No one wants the situation we are faced with, and the solution will not come through easy and pleasant decisions. But be clear on one thing - the resolution of this conflict will not come out of some warm and fuzzy peace treaty or accord (like the naive and pathetic Geneva Understandings). Not, at least, while our enemy is clear about their goal to annihilate us, making no bones about it. Even if they do eventually approach us with the olive branch, Israel must be very wary in taking their offer at face value after the failed fiascoes of Oslo I and II and the war they wage against us today.
For now, it is us or them, and you must decide which side of the fence you are on. If you choose to continue to support appeasement and offering gifts to those who would murder you in your sleep, then you have yet to truly know your enemy.
