When Jews take to the streets after a massacre to decry the bloodshed or protest the Government's lack of response, leftists refer to them as "dancing on the blood of others."
But when the blood of 13 IDF soldiers slaughtered in Gaza and Rafiah was still fresh, as the search for more body parts continued and Arab cannibals in the refugee camps were desecrating the remains they snatched from the killing fields, the Left organized a mass demonstration calling on Israel to withdraw from Gaza and open dialogue with the enemy. Isn't that "dancing on blood?" Actually, it's more like figure skating ? and only the Left is allowed. Only the Left can do it.
They are not demonstrating against the Israeli government for its failure to mount a relentless air attack on those murderers. Instead, they take pity on the "innocent victims", thereby placing our own soldiers' lives in danger. They demonstrate against Jews whose only desire is to live in the Land of Israel. They want to negotiate with the murderers, the cannibals, the defilers of our sons' bodies. They are willing to talk with them and those who planned the attacks. Only the Left can do it.
When a public figure ? or especially a rabbi ? declares that orders to uproot Jews from their homes are illegal and must not be obeyed, the Left becomes apoplectic. The committed media then quote the "knights of democracy" who cry out, "Incitement and rebellion against the democratic authorities!" But when a vocal handful of leftists refuses to serve in the IDF for political reasons - because they are not willing to serve in the "occupied territories" as they call them - or when "intellectuals" from the Left (where else?) encourage the group, and poets and writers compare them to "fighters for justice", it is not incitement and rebellion, but "freedom of expression in a democratic state". Because only the Left is allowed. Only the Left can do it.
When residents of Judea, Samaria and Gaza launch a campaign to oppose their displacement, investing all their energies and resources in the struggle, the Left and the committed media immediately demand to know who is financing the campaign and where the money originates. But when Yossi Beilin spends money like water, sending his illusionary plan to every household in Israel at a cost of millions, flying planeloads of celebrities and journalists to Geneva and flooding the country with billboards and the press with giant notices, no one asks him, "Where's the money coming from, Yossi?" Because only the Left is allowed. Only the Left can do it.
We also note the activities of the Four Mothers organization, financed by the European Unnion, the "intelligence gathering" that accompanies dozens of aerial photography sorties by Peace Now, monitoring every building in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. No one asks them where the money is coming from, because only the Left is allowed. Only the Left can do it.
When a referendum is held among right-wing voters and the turnout is 51%, we hear an outcry declaring that the percentage is low and that we cannot allow 100,000 people to decide.
Dear readers, 51% is a high percentage in democratic countries. Please look through election statistics of the democratic world and read them for yourselves. Voter turnouts of 90% are the province of dark regimes like those of Syria or Saddam Hussein's Iraq.
But when the Left buys the votes of two deserters from the national camp ? Gonen Segev and Alex Goldfarb ? and thus succeeds in having the Knesset pass the Oslo Accords by a bare majority of 59 to 61, democracy celebrates and all its guardians mug for the TV cameras, swelled with self-importance. They explain that in a democracy, one may make fateful decisions affecting all the Jewish People even on the strength of a one-vote majority, including the votes of Arab Knesset Members, because this is democracy. Indeed, only the Left is allowed. Only the Left can do it.
Who is organizing the demonstrations that calls for fleeing from Gaza? The same people who signed the Death Accords in Oslo, the ones who brought the detestable Jew-killer Yasser Arafat into our land; those who approved the influx of murderous bands fresh from the training camps of Sudan, in and out of uniform. Have we already forgotten the convoys of terrorists arriving in Gaza making the "V for victory" sign, as if to say, "We will defeat the Jews"?
The demonstrations are being organized by those who gave the murderers guns ? thousands of assault rifles and ammunition. We were told that they need the weapons "to keep order", to protect us from Muslim murderers and Arab terror, because they have no Supreme Court and no human rights organizations. Glance through old newspapers and look at interviews with Yossi Sarid, Yossi Beilin, Shimon Peres and others at the time, indicating why they feel it is important to give thousands of rifles to the Palestinians. When people in the national camp cried out, "Don't give them guns!" they laughed at them and called them "cowards who fear peace."
Today, murderers supplied with Israeli weapons kill a pregnant woman and her four daughters at point-blank range; the same murderers who fired at the head of an eight-month-old infant, ambushed and slaughtered dozens of Jews, blew hundreds of innocent civilians to bits, lynched soldiers who lost their way and defiled remains of our soldiers to the delighted shrieks of crowds. And it is with these very murderers and their commanders that the Left wants to open dialogue, because only the Left can do it.
Yossi Sarid once said that a popular revolt will remove the IDF from Gaza. No one accused him of calling for rebellion. Perhaps the time has come to declare that there will be a popular revolt against self-hatred and against those who help the enemy, dancing on blood at a time when our soldiers are fighting.
Perhaps the time has come to say to those who think that only they are allowed, that only they can do it, "Sit down and be quiet!"
