I worked in a movie theater in Brooklyn, New York. Every Saturday night, my theater would be packed with Jews celebrating Havdalah by watching a movie. For some reason, it seemed that out of all the Jewish people who would walk in, many - too many - were Israeli.
At first, I really thought nothing of it, until it seemed that every other customer I had was a Hebrew-speaker. I figured it was probably a vacation in Israel and the people were visiting America. But it was not. No vacation. These Israelis live in the United States. Which should not surprise me, because it seems you cannot walk around New York City, Toronto, Los Angeles or London anymore without hearing the wonderful Hebrew language being spoken.
Finally, after much frustration, I spilt my guts on a pretty Israeli lady. We began talking and she told me that her parents and boyfriend were coming to America too.
"Why?" I asked.
Her answer was vague, but what she said afterwards left me in awe: "I love Israel, I am an avid Zionist, I love Israel deeply and do not believe we should give the Arabs anything!"
I was horrified. "Well," I asked, "what will you do if the Arabs are given Yesha and all the settlements are disbanded? What will you do?
"Nothing," I answered before she could, "because you are living in the United States."
I learned from most of the Israelis I met in America that they feel the same way: "Long live Israel"; "am yisrael chai..." - not quite. What is Zionism and a love for Israel if you are not there? All these Jews who love Israel obviously do no love it that much if they are willing to leave it for the Arabs to steal.
One Israeli man told me that "giving up a settlement is a reward for terror!"
"So is leaving Israel," I replied.
Am I wrong? The Arabs know that if they cannot kill a Jew, they can at least break his spirit and force him to emigrate. In actuality, leaving Israel is just as much of a reward for terror as dismantling a settlement. The Arabs are not leaving as much as Israelis are, thus, every Jewish family that leaves adds more Arabs to the equation, increasing the demographic problem. There are not enough Jews in Israel to allow large-scale emigration and still keep Israel a state. So far, 500,000 Jews have left since 1948. If more continue to leave, then there will be no more Israel. Plain and simple. Hanging around in America talking about never giving up Israel is pathetic, because if you are leaving Israel, then you are giving it up.
The Arabs are not leaving - and trust me, they have a hard life. Their own leaders tell their children to go out and turn into human bombs; and their education system involves declaring that Israel and many other countries have no right to exist. Almost all the people are poor, because all the money they get is kept by their corrupt leaders. Their walls are plastered with posters of Jihad. And yet, they do not seem to be leaving. Why, then, must Israelis?
Do Israelis believe that they may be leaving, but there will always be somebody there to fight for Israel? Well, what if all Israelis think like that? What will you do then? Move back? It will be too late. Imagine the day that you get off the plane at the newly renamed Rantisi Memorial Airport and you notice that all of Israel is in Arabic. What will happen then?
If you love Israel and really care deeply about its survival, pack up your bags move back to your homeland. There will always be an England and America - but there may not always be an Israel.
