We have all been waiting for Ariel Sharon's next move, as guided by the U.S. State Department, to force evacuation of Gaza. In an earlier article entitled "Sharon's Next Plan of Retreat", I forecast that the gang representing Prime Minister Sharon, the U.S. State Department and the Labor-Left would launch a "Hate the Settlers" campaign - much the same as Yitzchak Rabin and Shimon Peres did to push through the Oslo Accords.
Sharon and Company have, as predicted, launched a duplicate "Hate the Settlers" campaign. Saturday night May 15th, Gush Shalom and the rest of the Leftists staged a kick-off rally to get the campaign rolling. They showed how little they value the Land of Israel.
The "Hate" themes and chants are already being heard. Leftist media are floating the mind-twisting slogan that posits "staying in Gaza is reminiscent of Israel's 18 years in the southern Lebanon Security Zone". They, of course, deliberately avoid speaking about Ehud Barak's middle-of-the-night sneak evacuation, which abandoned our Christian Lebanese allies, along with a multitude of tanks, artillery, piles of ammunition. The materiel is now all in the hands of the Hezbullah, who are ready to fire on the cities of northern Israel (possibly with chemical warheads supplied by Syria). The Leftist media also choose to avoid mention of the fact that Hezbullah immediately filled Barak's vacuum and brought in 10,000 missiles. That makes no difference to the Oslo Gang, to the Labor-Left, to Shinui, or, of course, to Yossi Beilin and his 'new' party Yahad, supported by European investments.
The theme that "the settlers are Israel's enemies" is being cranked up, carefully avoiding blaming the Arab Muslim terrorists and killers (who call themselves "Palestinians").
The Left bleats and mewls and wrings its hands in despair because the Arab Muslims continue to kill Jews, Israelis, Americans and any other 'infidels' standing in their way. How quick the uninformed public jumps at whatever slogan or political promise of peace is offered, having already forgotten how all the past promises have failed so miserably.
Remember: Oslo I failed; Oslo II failed; Wye failed; Sharm Al-Sheikh failed; Barak's retreat failed; as did Barak's offer to give up everything to the Arab Muslims; Sharon's shooting at empty buildings failed; his "referendum" failed. But now, the Gaza retreat will be bonded to the Oslo plan and the Beilin Geneva Plan, all backed and funded by American dollars.
The objective of the current plan is to start a frenzy among the general Israeli population and world Jewry via Israel's three leftist Hebrew newspapers, its TV news and frequent speeches by leaders such as Peres, Ehud Olmert (Likud), Tommy Lapid (Shinui) - among others - who will tell all who listen that we must get out of Gaza (and soon, Judea and Samaria) just as we retreated from Lebanon.
There will be no hard questions asked; questions such as: What will you do when the Jihadists currently gathered in Iraq move into Gaza? What will you give up then? Eilat? Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, Beersheva - when they are hit by Qassem rockets from the terrorists, now with an international organization interlocked into Gaza? How far will you retreat to appease the Jihadists? Will Rabin's candle children run to face the advancing terrorists? Will Peace Now and the other leftists rush to the reduced borders? I think not. They'll all run away.
Sharon has dropped into a deep silence, as opposed to his pre-referendum days when he was promising, threatening, pleading every day. As I have said before, when Sharon drops into silence, he is at his worst. He squints his eyes, looking grim, and you can be assured someone is going to suffer. You may also count on the Arabist State Department and the American CIA, whose task is to cook up methods to either overthrow governments or put others into power (like Manuel Noreiga, Saddam Hussein, etc.). The money pours into all sorts of organizations - just as Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir was deposed by American dollars.
Sharon is leveraging the losses of soldiers in Gaza (without any shame) to allow his front men to create a frenzy among the people. When the campaign slips into high gear, with Peace Now and B'tselem screaming for peace at any price (using exorbitant funds raised from Jews in America), all the other leftists enlisted will demand evacuation. Then, Sharon will bring his "Retreat and Surrender" proposal to both his cabinet (after he rearranges it) and the Knesset (after he gets the nationalists to quit the government). We will also likely see the witches called "Women in Black" re-emerge, as if from the dead.
Let me repeat a prior suggestion: Given that the leftist media has kept accurate information out of their outlets, the nationalists must go directly to the people - as was done before the referendum. When the people really know, they will defend Israel.
President Bush and the Arabist State Department desperately want the appearance of a "win" for Bush's infamous Road Map. Sharon has been promised many things, some you never hear about. If Israel were to vanish tomorrow (G-d forbid), it would delight James Baker's oil cronies. Be assured that Dennis Ross, Daniel Kurtzer, the current American Ambassador to Israel, and former Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk will be popping corks with the Arabs and Arabists when Sharon forcibly evacuates and uproots the Jews from Gaza, and then from Judea and Samaria.
All these perfidious Jews will disappear under rock and into wall crevices when Gaza becomes the epicenter for regional and global terror. Each will deny they betrayed the Jewish people, the Americans and the other Arab nations.
Well, that's about it. Just watch and wait for a veritable tidal wave of well-funded propaganda in a "Hate the Settlers" campaign. It must be "their fault" that the Arab Muslim Palestinians and other Arabs are killing Jews. It can't be that Arabs are pathological killers and also hate Jews. No, it must be the successful Jewish settlers who provoked them.
We are in desperate need of a gigantic Freudian couch, or a pillar of fire, to bring the Jews back to their senses.
