The Supreme Court refused to rule yesterday on a petition demanding a halt to the dismantling of outposts in Yesha. The Court stated that in light of the "political developments," the issue is no longer relevant and is merely theoretical. The grassroots "Cities of Israel" movement said that this means that the Supreme Court recognizes that the uprooting of the outposts was merely a political act and not one of "enforcing the rule of law." The silence of the State Prosecution attorneys "showed their agreement," Cities of Israel added.



The Court also stated that if the matter once again becomes relevant, the petitioners are invited to return - implying that residents must be given sufficient advance warning of any intentions to uproot them.
