The "Road Map" has come and gone, buried in the circular file at the end of the desk - along with Oslo, Camp David, and all the other ones not worth the paper they were written upon. Ah, but we knew it was only a matter of time.

You see, there was one fundamental flaw that has doomed each and every effort from the get-go. It takes two to tango. And only one partner came to the dance table with peace on the agenda: Israel. The other side has perfected the art of speaking two different languages from the same mouth. The Palestinian Authority leadership smiled for the photo-ops, blamed Israel, got their handouts, told the Western media they wanted peace, while, at the same time, speaking in Arabic from the other side, kept firing Kassam rockets and strapping bombs on their young men, urging them to find paradise by killing Israeli men, women, and children. Oh these brave fighters have no qualms about murdering folks who had the utter audacity to sit on busses and eat in pizza shops or drive their cars.

The Bush plan on global terrorism was doing really well when it meant giving the terrorists the business. When, to put it bluntly, it meant killing those who seek to take the entire world hostage through violence and terror. Those who delight in other people's sufferings and deaths, and actively pursue such an agenda, don't respond to debates, pleas, human rights commissions or panel recommendations. The only way is to eliminate them. Period. This policy worked wonderfully for the US in Afghanistan and, in fact, in Iraq. It is also the only policy that will work for Israel.

While Israel kept extending their hand at these ridiculous treaties, the PA and all their brainwashed, lunatic sub-organizations were playing the pretending game. Israel stopped settlements. They gave land, money and even weapons to the PA, in the hopes that they would somehow police themselves. But the reality is that they are not interested in policing themselves. No, they had much better plans for the billions of dollars in international funds they received. Forget about social reform, community improvement, multi-cultural exchanges, civic pride. Forget about building roads, decent housing and boosting the economy. The vast majority, after Arafat fattened his own personal accounts of course, is used for one major purpose: to purchase weapons to continue the war against Israel.

And so, the Road Map has once again put Israel in a compromising position. But now, perhaps after the last horrific homicide bombing in Jerusalem - and may it be the last indeed - the Israeli government, and hopefully the US as well, has come to realize the truth. The PA is not interested in peace. They never were. And they sure as hell aren't now. Thus, after all they received, we find ourselves smack dab where we started from; square one. Only this time, they have more money, more weapons and more chutzpah.

It is time to unleash the IDF in full might and glory, and in particular, utilize the IAF just as we Americans used our amazing air power in Iraq and Afghanistan. Despite the hollow claims of many in the so-called liberal media, there is indeed a military solution to the terrorist problem. In fact, it is the only one. Thank the Good Lord that we still have the upper hand and we're not on equal military footing with the fanatic Muslim terrorist organizations. If the situation were reversed, well, the world would be a much different place - assuming there was one left.

I offer the following terms of engagement for this next important phase in the war on terrorism:

* With or without US assistance, Israel should take over the entire region once again and never relinquish it. It's time to clean up shop. In fact, it's long overdue. Give the civilians and any others who want to leave a 24-hour grace period to vacate the area. Those who choose to stay and fight, no problemo. Then bring on the IAF. The key here is to use the IAF long before sending in any sort of ground troops, which puts Israeli soldiers at unnecessary risk. There's no need to show kindness to those who support terrorism. Like the good book says: If one is kind to the cruel, you'll end up being cruel to the kind.

* Speaking of Yasser Arafat. Do everyone a big favor - get rid of him and his own personal deck of loonies. Good riddance to bad rubbish. If he was engaging in this sort of nonsense against the United States, he'd be long gone; years ago.

Destroy the terrorists and those that support them. It's time to bring some real peace to the Middle East.
