I do not believe in screaming, shouting, ranting or tearing my hair out when life goes askew. But sometimes, it all gets to be too much. Tell me - am I mad? I'm sure as hell angry, but I think it's the rest of the world - and the Israeli government - which has gone mad, not me.
In order to implement yet another who-knows-which-number Israeli concession on the road to "peace" in the Arabs' two-hundred year war against Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel, we are now being pressured to:
1) Release 3000 convicted terrorist prisoners so that Egypt will release one Israeli Druze prisoner - Azam Azam - whom they "tried" (long live Egyptian justice....) for spying;
2) Release the rest of the successful, accomplished murderers and murderers-less-accomplished (who tried but didn't succeed), terrorists, robbers and assorted other henious Arab criminals who are in Israeli jails (so they can get on with their holy work...);
3) Pull down and stop building the security fence intended to halt illegal movement of Arabs and terrorists and to keep them out of Israel (thus allowing them free and easy access to their victims...);
4) Remove all road blocks in Judea and Samaria (the "West Bank" of the Jordan River), intended to check the same freedom of movement as above, so that the Arabs can indeed move freely (just as the Jews can move freely through Arab villages, on Arab roads, and in Arab cities... but God help them if they are spotted or get caught by the local inhabitants);
5) Open Israeli borders, roads, workplaces to Palestinians (it is, you see, Israel's responsibility to guarantee their livelihood once they have a sovereign state of their own);
6) End the closure on Ramallah and allow poor, incapacitated killer Yassir Arafat to move around freely, so that he can get his terrorist organizations in order and is not hampererd in his important work; and
7) Allow "Palestinians" (a non-Arab name, given to conquered Judea by the Romans c. 1900 years ago. As in the Biblical Philistia, Philistines) to cross Israel freely from Gaza to Judea/Samaria and back (thus tying a noose around Israel's neck), so they aren't - Heaven forbid - a truncated, frustrated people.
My rage knows no bounds. I expect nothing from the world at learge, but where are the people of Israel? Have they lost their senses, their last ounce of national pride, of self preservation? We accused ourselves of going like sheep to the Nazi gas chambers (although we know today that is not true). What shall we accuse ourselves of tomorrow? Overwhelming stupidity? Utter blindness? Self hatred? Delusion? Broken spirits? Or just plain insanity?
No. We will wake up and act in a sane, normal, sensible fashion. We will dismantle this joke of a government and vote in another one, which will do what has to be done. But when? How late? And at what price?
May the Good L-rd watch over His poor, dumb people and give them some plain, old fashioned common sense.
