The Saudi Arabian Riyadh Daily published an editorial on November 8 that characterizes the current anti-Saudi mood in the United States, as reflected in the American media, as wholly the product of ?control of the American media being nearly monolithic, well under Jewish command...? That being the case, the Saudi newspaper continues, ?the anti-Saudi outbursts are not surprising.?

The editorial, entitled ?Zionists at Work?, begins by noting that the American administration ?has been repeatedly criticizing the American media for its orchestrated tirade against the Kingdom,? and asks, ?what is it that is fueling this very media to continue its smear campaign?? One feature of the dichotomy pointed out by the Riyadh Daily is that the ?American media is wholly independent of government thinking and hence what the leaders say have no bearing whatsoever on their editorial policies.? Therefore, while ?these ?large? newspapers... have rarely assigned space for pro-Kingdom voices to be aired,? the column states, ?[s]upport for the Kingdom has mainly come in the form of speeches and public remarks made by US leaders.?

The reason for such alleged imbalance in the American media when it comes to Saudi Arabia, the Riyadh newspaper charges, is simple: Jewish control. The article goes on to claim that while fomenting against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, ?[i]n the same breath, the twisted media organs seek to constantly portray the Israelis as the oppressed and the Arabs as the villains.? A further example of perceived prejudice is that ?after the September 11 events, the terror tag is loosely strung on just about any Arab that may seek to address the Palestinian issue in all its fairness.?

No matter, the Saudi editor continues, ?[t]he Kingdom?s relations with the US have stood the test of time and every past attempt by the Zionist lobby to dislodge these ties has failed. September 11 provided a fresh opportunity for the Zionist-run media to run down the Kingdom. But despite these attempts, there seems to be no dent in Saudi-US ties.? This cheery situation, in the view of the Saudis is mainly due to ?the occasional interjections in the defense of the Kingdom by the likes of Bush, Sr.?
