Well over a thousand Rosh Hashana gift packages were distributed, under the auspices of the Pina Chama at Gush Etzion Junction, to all the soldiers of the Etzion Brigade and also to Parachutists serving in Har Gilo. Teenagers from local communities spent hours making up the packages in the Efrat municipality, children wrote greeting cards, and donors from Israel and abroad made the entire project possible. The Pina Chama is located at the junction of Highway 60 and Gush Etzion in a prefab building. Manned solely by volunteers, the Pina Chama, (?A Warm Corner?) is the brainchild of Efrat residents, providing free food and drinks all year round to IDF soldiers serving in the area between Jerusalem and Chevron.
