Israel has launched a new website at which all official government forms can be obtained and filled out - and some of them can even be submitted on-line. The all-Hebrew site, "www.forms.gov.il", saves users from having to go to government offices and wait on line merely to fill out necessary forms. The forms were previously available on the internet, but users used to have to burrow through various websites and pages in search of the desired form. Now, however, some 623 forms are concentrated on one website, searchable via an efficient search engine.

The Finance Ministry, which operates the site, says that another 20 of the forms will soon be able to be submitted via internet. Forms that require identity verification will have to wait for the passage of legislation governing electronic signatures. An English version of the site is in the works.
