Palestinian Media Watch has provided the transcript of an interview from PATV with Palestinian Authority minister of Posts and Communication, and member of the PA legislative council, Immad Faluggi. In the interview, Faluggi gave voice to the rank anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism that is at the bottom of PA policy, such as it is. The interview was conducted on August 8.
Faluggi denied the historical connection of the Jews to the Land of Israel, saying, ?They came from the four corners of the Earth granted with every opportunity, and claimed the lie that they were returning to their land, the land of their ancestors, their Promised Land and other such falsehoods?? Of course this in character for the Jews, according to the PA legislator, as ?[t]he Jewish nation, it is known, from the dawn of history, from the time Allah created them, lives by scheme and deceit, by creating the image of an enemy, by creating the lie of security, so that they will have a unifying factor.? The reason for such deceit, according to Faluggi, is that ?[t]here is nothing that unifies them, therefore they seek any bond, even if it is imagined, like a scheme or trickery, ?the enemy will get us? and their ghetto will be taken from them if there will be stability.?
As for Iraq, Faluggi said, ?Iraq is a twin to Palestine. She is second in suffering. We and Iraq are behind the same barricade in confrontation; confrontation with imperialism and Zionism, confrontation with the oppressor. Thus we and Iraq are equal in our struggle against the oppressor of the new world order, whose price we are paying, as is Iraq??
