What is this business with the Peace Bloc all about? What makes them wish to inform on IDF officers at the International Court in the Hague? Have they gone out of their minds? How could they commit such blatant acts of treachery?
Two elements are involved in this issue.
The first is an ancient Jewish mental illness. The phenomenon of a Jew who runs to betray his fellow Jews to the Gentiles is not a new one. Identification with the enemy, embarrassment with one's Jewish identity, the need to demonstrate to the Gentile that one is OK ? not like the other Jews, whom I also hate - all these symptoms, together with others that I've probably forgotten, are nothing new in Jewish history. Now this illness takes the form of the garbage put out by Uri Avneri's Peace Bloc people and others who hate their own nation. Their self-anti-Semitism is so great that they don't care in the least what the general public thinks of them when they try to obtain the names of the Israel Air Force pilots who bomb terrorists and send these names to the International Court in the Hague.
Yet, there is also another, logical element, which must be faced up to. If we don't do so, experience shows that, just as in the Oslo process, this "logic" may also become accepted. In other words, if we do not now analyze the logic behind the demand of the Peace Bloc, this same logic will convince more and more of the population, and in the end the mob will drag IDF officers out of their homes and bundle them into the vans for UN prisoners. This sounds crazy? Just recall for a moment how the mob danced around the golden calf of Oslo, welcomed Yasser Arafat with open arms, and gave his gang of murderers vast quantities of weapons and ammunition.
So what is the logic behind these acts of treachery? In fact, the actions of the Peace Bloc traitors are very logical, far more so than the policy of the government. Prime Minister Sharon has repeatedly declared that he wants to establish a Palestinian State. After the Likud Center gave Sharon a lesson in patriotism, the Prime Minister has been careful not to repeat his remarks explicitly, but he is certainly continuing to support the idea. "The Palestinians deserve to live in their own country," he says today. The significance of this is that according to Israel's official policy, the Arab side (known as the Palestinians) is in the right and the Israeli side is in the wrong. This is a very simple equation: if Israel states explicitly that the very heart of Eretz Israel belongs to the Arabs, this means that we Israelis are robbing them of their country as long as we live in it. We Israelis are apologizing and explaining that we have no alternative. We proclaim that we will leave right away if they will only give us a little peace; however, the issue is not one of security, but of justice. The country belongs to them, we are occupying it, they are in the right and we are robbers.
It's as simple as that.
The traitors from the peace movements have in recent years argued that the terrorists are not in fact terrorists, but freedom fighters. However disgusting this may sound, there is a certain degree of logic in their claim. "I don't agree with their methods," explain the self-hating Jews, "but you have to understand that we have here a people fighting for its freedom. There is no difference between them and the war waged by the Hebrew underground movements against the British mandatory authority." So who is actually a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter? Who is a brave soldier and who is a war criminal? When the man in the street hears the comparison made between an Irgun fighter and a terrorist, he is outraged. "What's the connection?" he asks. "The Irgun fighters took care not to kill women and children and the terrorists make no distinction." It's true that the terrorists have the characteristics of Amalek and attack weak victims, but this still doesn't answer the argument of the self-hating Jews: They also declared that they don't like the methods of the terrorists, but this is only a technical matter. In practice they see no real difference between a freedom fighter who restricts himself to attacking male adults in uniform, and a freedom fighter who does not thus restrict himself.
These Jews are really right! The real difference between a freedom fighter and a terrorist depends only on one thing - justice. Those who fight for a justified cause are freedom fighters and those who fight for an unjustified one are terrorists. A German soldier in Hitler's Wermacht was a terrorist even if he never harmed the civilian population. An Israeli pilot is a hero and a righteous person even if he dropped a ton of bombs on a terrorist and his family. An Irgun fighter was a freedom fighter even if he killed women and children and an Arab terrorist is a terrorist even if he kills soldiers only.
The relevant issue is not the technique but the substance. The justice of the cause for which you are fighting determines whether you are a war criminal or a righteous hero. When your prime minister states that the enemy is in the right, he unintentionally turns all the IDF soldiers (including the female clerks in their offices) into war criminals. There is a great deal of logic in the Peace Bloc's demand to try the IDF officers.
Now that we have understood the demand, we know how to respond to it: We have to set up an International War Crimes Court ? in Jerusalem. Learned Jews will sit there and all the nations of the world will come for judgment by the wise men of the nation of the Prophets, the people of the Bible. It is clear that the International Court is based on a system of values. Therefore, in order to avoid being tried according to the values of the Hague, we must hold on to Jerusalem.
