An Israeli choir from the moshav Beit Yitzchak, an agricultural community outside Netanya known for its musical vibrancy and jams, has earned first prize in an international competition held in Japan last week. The Moran Choir was one of thirty choirs that attended the competition in Takarazoka, Japan. The choir performed compositions by the Israeli composer Zvi Avni, with adaptations by Israeli musician Gil Aldema, and other pieces.
