If you?re Israeli, you?ve got a cellular phone. If you?re a hardcore soccer fan, you?re going to attend the World Cup games in Korea. If you?re both ? you need not give up one for the other!

Partner Communication will be collaborating with the Korean telecommunications network KTF, the second largest telecommunications network company in Korea, for the duration of the 2002 FIFA World Cup soccer competition. KTF will arrange for Orange cellular users to be able to use the Korean network for sending and receiving text messages and phone calls. The arrangement is meant to allow Israelis attending the World Cup matches, to be held in Japan and Korea, to stay in contact with home and with one other. The collaboration requires that the user rent a special cellular phone that can convert signals from the GSM system, used by Orange, to the CDMA system used by KTF. Rental price will be $1 per day.
