SuperCom, an Israeli company headquartered in Ra?anana, abnounced recently that it has entered into a $17.5 million contract with the Ukrainian government. SuperCom contracted to provide the Ukrainian government with ID smart card technology, after winning the government tender in 1999. In 2001, SuperCom produced passports for the Ukraine, convincing the state authorities that it can successfully implement the next phase of the smart card technology upgrade. Upcoming sales and installation of smart card ID equipment is expected to occur during 2002 through 2005. SuperCom, with offices in the United States, Belgium, Hong Kong and China, produces identification cards for use in all official capacities and of all varieties.
