A group of young British Jews are currently volunteering along Israel?s northern border. They are assisting the border communities in many ways and have remained there even as the security situation along the northern border has deteriorated. These volunteers, however, are not satisfied with their activities thus far and have initiated yet another volunteer project. The project is the operation of a ?hotline? to raise funds from Jewish communities in Britain for the communities along Israel?s northern border and for Israeli victims of terror. The Jewish Agency reports that the hotline will be operated simultaneously out of their office in Carmiel and from the UJIA offices in England.
