A new interdisciplinary research center, with the catchy name of ?Advanced Stent Technologies Research Center for Interventional Cardiology at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem?, is to be created at the Ein Kerem campus of the Hadassah University Hospital. The center will be established and run by California's Advanced Stent Technologies (AST) and Hadasit Medical Research Services and Development, an affiliate of the Hadassah Medical Organization. The Center?s research teams, to be advised by interventional cardiologists from Hadassah's Heart Institute, will consist of experts in biomedicine and related scientific fields such as interventional and non-interventional cardiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology and advanced materials. The objective, according to Hadasit, is that the Center become a national research facility, attracting the leaders in their fields for interdisciplinary research.
