Several articles in the Arabic press in Israel discussed the results of a survey conducted by Tel Aviv University?s Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies, which found that 46% of Israeli Jews favored transfer of the Arabs of the Palestinian Authority out of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. The survey also found that 31% of Israeli Jews favored the transfer of Israeli Arabs out of Israel. In addition, according to the survey, the overwhelming majority of Israeli Jews simply do not believe that Arabs are loyal citizens.

In an article in the newspaper al-Ittihad, entitled ?Does Transfer Assure Peace and Security for Israel??, Dr. Ahmed Saed writes that the survey results indicate a shift of Israeli Jewish opinion to the right, ?to racism, fascism against Palestinians and their legal rights in having an independent state and against the legal right of the Arab minority within the Israeli state to exist and develop in its country.? In al-Sinnara, Knesset member Taleb al-Sana, of the United Arab List, claimed that ?the Israeli state is not beaten militarily, but it is losing its morality as a state by adopting transfer??

A Haifa University lecturer, Dr. Assad Ghanem wrote, in Kul al-?Arab, that ?transfer is a central issue in the Zionist movement, which is trying to achieve a ?clean? country. A ?clean? country is achieved by transferring the whole Palestinian people or parts of it.? On the other hand, according to Ghanem, the recent shift towards transfer among Israeli Jews is a result of the policies of the government, ?the most dangerous that have ever been.? In addition, Ghanem called on the Arabs of Israel to unite behind a single national movement, as, according to the Haifa University lecturer, the Arabs in the Palestinian Authority have done.

Mohammed Barakeh, a member of Knesset from the Hadash (Communist) party, summed up the Arab Israeli point of view in al-Sinnara, ?Our existence in this country is not temporary and no one should dream of repeating the events of 1948. We, as original citizens of this place, are demanding equality in our homeland and we are not a threat to the country, as the survey revealed, but, on the contrary, the state is a threat to our security.?
