(Updated Monday 9:45AM) Over 1,100 Jews from 15 communities in the United States are expected to visit Israel in the month of November on United Jewish Communities' (UJC) solidarity missions. The UJC says that the trips will provide a badly needed boost to the Israeli economy through an estimated 6,850 hotel night stays, 208 days of tour guides and 208 bus days. The first group from the Washington D.C. area is scheduled to arrive this week. Other activists are flying "home" to Israel from Birmingham, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Colorado, Hartford, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, New Jersey, New York, Ocean County, San Diego, and St. Paul.
