The Jewish Agency reported this past week on the donation of a computerized resource center to the Ben-Yakir Youth Village in Kfar Haroeh. The donation was made by Kuzar Telecom Systems Ltd. through the Haruach Hayisraelit (the Israeli Spirit) fundraising organization. Towards the end of the year, an official ceremony will be held to inaugurate the center, which houses resources from a variety of media, such as maps, books, pictures, educational films, computerized data banks, links to the Internet, and more. The center will be open to both teachers and students.

Haruach Hayisraelit was established by the Jewish Agency and Keren Hayesod and, according to the Jewish Agency, ?works to raise funds among the private and business sectors of the Israeli public on behalf of children at risk and underprivileged youth.? The organization supports youth villages throughout the country, giving disadvantaged children the chance to settle in a new, enriching environment.
