The Jewish Agency last week publicized a campaign they are running in conjunction with the Golani Brigade, a combat unit of the Israel Defense Forces. In the context of the project, sixty soldiers spent last week painting and repairing Jewish Agency immigrant absorption centers in northern Israel. According to Arie Chilik, director of the Jewish Agency Migur Co. in northern Israel, the project, in addition to improving the look of the centers, facilitated interactions between new immigrants, the soldiers and old-time Israelis, to everyone?s benefit. The Tiberius and Upper Nazareth absorption centers, which received the Golani makeovers, are currently home to 250 and 300 new immigrants, respectively.
