IDF soldiers carrying out routine inspections on cars at the Tapuach junction in the Shomron yesterday afternoon uncovered an explosives belt hidden among boxes in an Arab-driven vehicle. The two men in the car were taken into custody. The belt, laced with steel nails, contained eight kilograms of explosives. Several hours later, a would-be suicide bomber and his dispatcher were arrested in the Shechem district. Officials believe there may be a link between these two terrorists and the men arrested at Tapuach.

IDF troops are well into their second week of activities in the terrorist-infested PA-controlled city of Jenin in the Shomron. Demolition crews destroyed last night two homes belonging to Arabs with blood on their hands. One of the houses belonged to a Hamas killer who murdered a soldier in a Jordan valley shooting attack this past March. The second house belonged to the Islamic Jihad suicide bomber who blew up in Binyamina in July 2001, killing two Israelis.
