The Bahrain Association for Resisting Normalization of Relations With the Zionist Enemy (BARN) is about to embark on a campaign of public lectures and fundraising aimed at turning international public opinion against Israel, according to the Gulf Daily News. As part of an organizational effort, BARN would also like to host an international anti-Israel congress in Bahrain.
As part of its activities, said BARN Vice President Ibrahim Kamal Aldeen, the Association, together with the National Committee for Support for the Palestinian Uprising (NCSPU), has submitted a petition denouncing American support for Israel to the US Embassy in Bahrain. The petition, reports the Gulf Daily News, holds the United States responsible for "[w]hat [Prime Minister Ariel Sharon?s] criminal gangs are doing,? which is ?no less than genocide? all done through the use of American missiles and planes.?
