A worldwide Jewish student organization, Yavne Olami, responded to frustrated calls from its members on various university campuses by organizing a weekend seminar to provide the students with tools to defend Israel in the public relations sphere. University campuses are known to be hotbeds of anti-Israel sentiment and Jewish students have suffered the brunt of anti-Semitic incidents related to the Arab terrorist war on Israel.
Religious university and yeshiva students from around the world came to Israel for the seminar, which was organized in cooperation with the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister?s Office. The students will return to their universities and yeshivas and will help explain Israel?s position in local public and media forums. The project will be coordinated with Israel?s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior.
