The Israeli all-star reserve basketball team made it to the quarter-finals in the World Basketball Championships being held in Japan this week. In order to qualify for the quarter-finals, the Israelis faced the Croatian team for a hard-fought win of 82:70. Losing to the Croatians until the end of the third quarter, the Israeli team dramatically turned the tables thanks to four successful three-pointers by Matan Naor and well-played defense by Yaniv Green and Shachar Gordon. By the last quarter, the Croatians were just falling further and further behind. An Israeli three-pointer at the buzzer just added insult to the injury.
