The State Custodian's office this week reported on some examples of Jews and non-Jews from around the world including Israel in their wills. A childless Gentile couple from Norway left its $4 million estate to Israel, including a luxurious summer house overlooking a scenic fjord. A Gentile woman from Bolivia donated thousands of dollars to Israel and the IDF is to receive six fully-equipped ambulances according to a instructions in the will of a Jewish Bolivian. Jews in Australia, Italy and elsewhere have also endowed their properties to the State of Israel.

In an unrelated story of goodwill, 43 nursing students from Holland have chosen to do their residencies at the Mizra Hospital in Israel. The students could have chosen any European country for their residencies, but they insisted on contributing their skills to the Jewish State.
