Professor Jean Rappaport, an Israeli pediatrician from Nazareth Illit, has been recognized by the United States Congress as one of the 500 most influential medical leaders of the 21st Century. The US Congress recognized Professor Rappaport for his development of innovative treatments for many childhood diseases, as well as for his prolific written work in the field of pediatrics, including 30 books and more than 500 professional articles on child development and childhood allergies.
Professor Rappaport, who made aliyah from Russia in 1990, studied medicine at the University of Leningrad, where he ultimately became the Head Chair and Director of the University?s pediatric clinic. The Professor currently works and resides in Nazareth Illit, where he received the Congressional award last week.
