Yavne Olami, an international organization of religious Jewish students, has had a dramatic increase in participation in its Summer Internship Program (SIP) - 42 students this year, as compared with 17 last year. The program, which lasts from July 5th to August 19th, brings aliyah-minded Jewish students from around the world to Jerusalem for internships with firms and organizations in various fields, such as public relations, journalism, law and medicine. In addition, the students spend part of their time in Israel travelling around the country, taking part in various seminars, meeting Israeli newsmakers and visiting with young immigrant families.
