Israelis made pornographic films inside the mosque in Safed, according to the Mayor of the Israeli Arab village Um El-Fahm, Sheikh Ra'ed Salah. In a radio interview with the ?Voice of Palestine? Salah said, ?They [the Zionists] wanted to bury Islamic and Christian history in this land.? He claimed that only one hundred mosques and a handful of churches remain, and that even those that were spared were made into restaurants, nightclubs, bars, animal pens and, as stated, pornographic movie studios, by Jewish authorities. According to Salah, Israeli authorities were still refusing to allow Muslims to pray at many mosques throughout Palestine,
