A Council for Higher Education vote this past Tuesday has enabled the Jerusalem College of Technology (Machon Lev) to begin awarding the Bachelor's in Technological Management and Marketing (TMM) - just in time for the college's commencement exercises. The awarding of the degree was anticipated for months; however, final notification, coming on the eve of the commencement exercises, enabled several students who had completed their studies in this field to be added to the roster of graduating students. Until now, TMM students completed their degrees through the Computer Science or Managerial Accounting Departments. The new degree will be part of a program that enables students to earn a Certificate of Specialized Expertise in such areas as Business Management or Computer Science. Over 120 students graduated, receiving degrees in six different majors, including the new TMM degree, at the exercises. Veteran Justice Tzvi Tal was the guest speaker at the ceremony. Sixteen students also received teaching degrees, a high number for an Israeli institution of higher education.
