The Hamas terrorist organization was quick to correct the impression that it had agreed to a "truce" with Israel following the early June suicide bombing in Tel Aviv that killed 21 people. "In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful," says a recent Hamas press release, "Qassam Brigades have no connection to the joint truce statement. The Qassam Brigades, military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, affirm the falsehood of the joint truce statement circulated with the signature of both the Qassam Brigades and the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. We consider that statement as an intrigue aimed at besmearing our heroic Brigades after the heroic Tel Aviv operation.....The Qassam Brigades vow before Allah then our Palestinian people and Nation to continue resistance, Jihad and strikes deep inside the occupation lines until it evacuates our lands Insha'allah."
