Be'erot Bat Ayin is a unique women's learning program nestled in the hills the rural community of Bat Ayin in Gush Etzion, ten minutes south of Jerusalem. Program Director Chana Bracha announced recently the opening of a new advanced level learning program. Joining the institute is Rabbi Hanan Schlesinger of "Nishmat" in Jerusalem, as well as Menucha Chwat of Jerusalem's Midreshet Rachel institute. Rabbi Schlesinger teaches Chumash Bereishit each Sunday and Thursday, while Menucha is offering a halacha (Jewish Law) class on Mondays and Wednesdays. Also on the roster are Rabbi Joel Zeff, Devora Nov, Rabbi Natan Siegel, and Chana Sarah Zeller.
Among the more creative aspects of the program are classes in Torah and Drama, taught by Dina Shochat, and Ceramics, featuring Elisheva Shira; the latter's husband Avraham, continues to teach his popular spiritual writing workshop. Program Director Chana Bracha gives courses in Rambam (Maimonedes) and Herbology and Women in the Tanach.
