Iran's IRNA news agency this week reported on the Moslem world's ongoing support of Arab efforts to defeat Israel in the current war of attrition being fought in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. The Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Seyed Mohammad Sadr, is quoted as calling on all Moslem and Arab countries to "support the Palestinian intifada." He told IRNA that these countries "should not allow the Jewish settlers to crush the Palestinian people." Seemingly ignoring Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's broad public support, Sadr declared that "Sharon is the representative of the most radical faction in the Zionist regime" - adding that continuing the present mini-war "is the best approach for confronting Israel." Sadr concluded by saying that "the Palestinian factions should know that their common enemy is the Zionist regime."
