Secretary of State Colin Powell made a significant statement both in the name of President Bush and the policy of the U.S. State Department.

He said, that Israel must keep to the signed written agreements it had made with Yassir Arafat. Whoa!! Let?s take another look at Powell?s statement in the light of reality.

The U.S. State Department has never publically stated that Arafat and the Palestinian Authority must comply with the numerous agreements it has signed with Israel. In fact, the U.S. State Department has offered false documents to Congress attesting to the erroneous "fact" that Arafat and the P.A. has compiled with all their Committees. These were a series of fraudulent documents intended to contravene the law passed by the American Congress requiring that Arafat must comply with these agreements before any money of American tax-payers? dollars was transferred to Arafat?s (personal) account.

Colin Powell and Congress know that Arafat and the P.A. have not complied with any of their obligations under any of the following agreements, Eg., Oslo 1, Oslo 2, Hebron, Wye, Sharm el Sheik and Camp David 2.

Colin Powell insists, in the name of an American State Department (well-known to be anti-Semitic) that, only Israel has contractual obligations to signed agreements. But, Wait! In contract law, when one signature to an agreement doesn?t cure upon notification, that contract is abrogated - null and void - a dead letter - or any other expressions of dissolution. The same is true for International Treaties.

Why then is Israel - and only Israel - obligated to perform when the other party has broken every line of every agreement they have signed? Israel has duly notified all parties each time the specific segments of these numerous agreements have been broken. Since several U.S. Presidents co-signed these agreements, they were duly notified. The U.S. State Department was similarly notified but, like the U.N. (United Nations) or E.U.( European Union) no complaint offered by Israel was accepted - even when the proof was incontrovertible. Photos, tape recordings ordering killings or public speeches by Arafat, pledging to take all of Israel, public honoring of suicide bombers are irrefutable evidence of Arafat?s complicity in terror acts and intentions to eliminate the Jewish State of Israel. But, they made no difference with the rest of the world - either the U.N., the E.U., the U.S. Sate Department or most of the American Presidential Administrations.

Why then has the U.S. State Department taken on the role protector of Arafat and antagonist to Israel? The tilt towards Arafat, no matter what he does tells the Israelis and the World that Israel cannot ever expect what is commonly known as even-handed treatment.

Who is behind this imbalance? Well, let us start with James Baker and his Institute at Rice University, then there is George Bush, Sr. who, like Baker, is up to his eyeballs in crude oil.

There are oil companies who saturate the State Department and can deeply influence their bias. Then there is the State Department bureaucracy itself whose anti-Jewish mind-set goes way back to employing Christian missionaries as their first outreach staff into other nations. They cycled back into State itself, influencing diplomats and new bureaucrats in training with their deeply ingrained teaching that Jews killed their G-d and were demons.

There are, of course the 28 Arab and/or Muslim countries that host large American Embassies and numerous consulates. These American diplomats are wined and dined both at the official level and invited to lavish homes for ?personal contact?. These State Department apparachniks become loyal followers and advocates of Arab foreign policy which includes their hostility to Israel.

Many leave the U.S. service to accept private, high paid employment by Arab nations to go back into the State Department and Congress in order to influence U.S. policy.

I think you get the idea why the U.S. State Department is a hot-bed of old fashioned anti-Semitism. But, they also represent oil companies and other commercial interests who plead the hostile desires of the Arab nations.

Therefore, when one hears the State Department?s latest spokesman, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell demands that Israel keeps her written commitments, you should know that the "fix" continues. If Israel is forced to keep agreements when Arafat or the Arab nations have no obligations to keep theirs, then you can be sure that Washington?s Arabists are hard at work, arranging Israel?s funeral.
