Travel for the handicapped has always been problematic. Thanks to the efforts of the Israel Multiple Sclerosis Society, traveling to Israel is now much easier. The organization has been gathering information about hotels, sites and tour routes that are suitable for people with special needs. The society can provide a list of hotels in Israel that have the facilities to accomodate physically-challenged tourists. According to the Society, hotel owners were asked to respond to a questionnaire that provided information about special needs compatibility in the respective hotels. Tourists interested in obtaining more information before a trip to Israel can contact Milbet's Tourism Tourist Information Center; the Center can offer information on more than 2000 sites around Israel that can accommodate people with disabilities.
