Egypt's Al-Ahram served up its regular dose of anti-Israel propaganda this week. "There is no doubt that Israel holds sole responsibility for the escalation of violence acts in the Middle East region as its extremist policies, useless measures and the organized violence it practices against the Palestinians in the self-rule areas open door for more bloodshed. Israel practices killing acts against unarmed Palestinians and the Palestinian leadership in self-rule areas," the paper exclaimed. Arutz-7's Ron Meir notes that no mention was made by the paper of the daily PLO and Hamas-initiated sniper attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers, nor the recent terrorist bombings overseen by Yasser Arafat's PLO.

"It is not acceptable that international community denounces such practices only if Israelis fall victims to violence," Al Ahram added. Pushing for further territorial concessions by Israel, the paper maintains that "the Egyptian stance is clear, accurate and wise. The aggravation of violence makes it clear that peace is the only way to achieve security and stability in the Middle East region." The solution? "Putting to a halt the settlement policy - and [ensuring Israel's] commitment to signed agreements. Till these conditions are materialized, violence will continue."
